Topia Instructions
Topia is spatial and proximity-based – everyone will initially appear in the same central location and you will have an avatar you move around by clicking with your computer cursor where you want to go. As you break into groups and move in different directions, those who are further away from you will sound softer and their video will fade until you can no longer see or hear them. This is a bit like meeting everyone in a big conference foyer and then finding space in smaller groups to chat.
You can zoom in and out of the world by pressing Ctrl+ and Ctrl- (Windows) and Command+ and Command- (Mac).
This will allow you to see if there are people gathered elsewhere in the world. There is music playing by the pool and lots of chairs, beach umbrellas and palm trees to sit under. The University of the Sunshine Coast welcomes you!
